The EHEIM classic LED is a modern, valuable LED lighting for all freshwater aquariums. The lighting, made from a thin aluminium profile is available in four lengths of 550, 740, 940 and 1140 millimeters and is easy to install using the extendable mounting bracket. The LED strip adapts perfectly to any aquarium up to a width of 1.30 m, giving optimal illumination with a beam angle of 120°, down to the bottom of the aquarium. The ultra compact and very slim design fits under all covers and can therefore be used for most aquariums. An adapter set for the individual mounting in existing T5 or T8 fluorescent lights is separately available.
The light spectrum of the classicLED plants is specially designed for aquatic plants. A higher red component gives the light a more natural appearance and the underwater world has noticably more colour depth and the plants grow better.

Bought the 640mm length to totally replace the existing twin T5 unit in an Eheim Proxima 175 tank. One unit is ok for catfish, two would be brighter and diffuse the light better, but in all I am very happy with this purchase, I like the colour and when used with Eheims Classic Dimmer its second role as a moonlight is very good. If you are buying two light units and would like to use a dimmer you would need to buy two dimmers.
