The Turboflotor Multi SL is our most versatile protein skimmer. It can be fixed to the side of the aquarium (´hang-on´ mode), or placed inside or outside the sump of the filter. Its compact size makes it small enough to be stored under the cabinet.In the hang-on mode, only the pump is placed inside the aquarium. They close the gap between the Turboflotor 1.000 multi for aquaria up to 500 Liter (150 gal) and the Turboflotor 5.000 baby for aquaria from 1.000-2.000 Liter 250 (500 gal). The Shorties are manufactured in 2 sizes to fit into most aquarium cabinets. Like the larger models, they are supplied with a venturi pump and our patented needle wheel. The pump takes the water from the skimmer and mixes it with air in the pump housing. The needle wheel ensures perfect mixing and very fine air bubbles. The water supply to the skimmer requires a second pump with a capacity of minimum 2.000 l/h (500 gph). The skimmer may also be directly connected to the overflow of the aquarium. In this case it is recommended that a bypass be installed to control the water flow to the skimmer, especially if powerful return pumps are used.Technical Data: Total height incl. foam cup 62 cm
