During the first few days, artemias are not in a position to accept food particles which are larger than the photo-plankton found in nature. Because the individual particles agglomerate during the plankton is dried, the special produktion process has to first brake them down again into a very fine particle. This ensures the nauplias ability to feed themselves in their early development stages and those to a large extent reduces infant fatality. From the third day feed the nauplias with Hobby-Liquizell. From day 10 of their life it is now possible to feed with Hobby-Mikrozell.

Freshly hatched artemia nauplii are a vital live feed ideal for the successful rearing of fish fry with minimum loss. These nauplii can be simply bred as required from JBL NovoTemia artemia eggs. In many types of fish, the young fish can be fed on artemia nauplii as soon as they are free-swimming. Very small young fish should be fed initially with unicellular organisms (paramoecium) or JBL Nobilfluid, for example, until they have grown sufficiently to cope with artemia nauplii. Content: 40 ml (20 g) Artemia-Eggs with practical measuring spoon.

life A contains decapsulated artemia cysts, which can be hatched in the same way as encapsulated cysts. The hatched nauplia are shell free and therefore no waste remove. The shell waste, when eaten, can cause problems for young fish as they can die due to constipation. Because life A is de-capsulated, it makes an excellent nutrient for raising seahorses.

O.S.I. Artemia Food is a specially formulated diet for maintaining adult artemia and raising nauplii (baby brine shrimp). Brine shrimp are primarily used as a live food for carnivorous fish. Once hatched, if the nauplii are not fed to fish within a short period of time they will begin to live off of their own body tissues. Thus, your fish does not receive much nutrition. O.S.I. Artemia Food can also be used to maintain the nutritional quality of the artemia and even grow them into adulthood.Feeding Instructions: For a 10 gal. aquarium, place 2-3 scoops in a container with some of your tank water. Mix to suspend the particles. Turn your filter off and pour the particles into your tank. Turn your filter on after 30 minutes. Brine shrimp should be fed twice a day. At 80 degrees Fahrenheit, it will take 2-3 weeks for brine shrimp to reach adult size.
