Aqua Medic Bactoballs are the optimum filler material for use in biologial filters. Their universal application can be used with trickle filters for aquaria, in denitrification filters and in larger systems that use a trickle system used in aquaculture. The construction of flat areas with passages through ist middle ensures a very even distribution. The large surface area of 300 m²/m³ allows for a high concentration of active bacterial biomass.

Multiballs is a filter medium where the biological function can be combined with a desired chemical filtration. Their properties ensure a large surface area and good water distribution. The clou is that they consist of two half shperes that can be easily separated. On the inside of the Multiballs is an empty cavity that has space which can be filled with numerous types of chemical filter media. Multiballs are a perfect filter medium for use in trickle filters, canister filters or other filter systems. Diameter 44 mm

ab Aqua Medic Deniballs

Deniballs are made of a special biologically produced plastic material. In the absence of oxygen bacteria metabolize the material. The bacteria are used for the reduction of nitrates, thus reducing nitrate to nitrogen gas. One to three packages (0,8 l) is enough to supply the Nitratreductor as an only food source for 12 months. It is recommended to change the Deniballs after the 12 months to ensure safe and maintenance free denitrification in fresh and seawater aquariums.
