Hobby ABSORBEX micro 450 g

Hobby Absorbex micro is a biological filter material for freshwater and marine water aquariums. Absorbex micro works in an absorptive manner, i.e. damaging agents are broken down by aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, for which the material offers a large breeding area. The pore size of 5 hundred-thousandths of a millimetre offers nitrosomas and nitro-bacterial bacteria perfect living conditions. Thus, Absorbex micro absorbs nitrite an ammonia and breaks down nitrates and phosphates decisively. The surface area of 1 l of aborbex micro corresponds to the area of more than 3 basketball pichtes. The pore channels have at least two entrances and ensure optimum water and oxygen flow.

The content of 1 package Hobby Absorbex micro is sufficient for approx. 200 l of aquarium water.

Hobby Zeolith

Zeolith is a solid natural stone which contains many pores, cavities and channels. Zeolith works in an adsorptive manner, i.e. environmental toxins and decayed products are directly attracted and retained by the system of cavities through strong electrostatic fields (e.g. up to 90% of ammonia). Zeolith has a huge internal surface area. Approx. 10 gram corresponds to the size of 4 football pitches. The cavities are 4 millionths of a millimetre in size, a dimension into which an ammonia molecule fits exactly.There is a sustained reduction in the phosphate content due to the fact that the formation of natural bacteria and microbes is actively encouraged. Zeolith acts as an ion-exchanger and catalytic converter. The water becomes softer, clear and free from toxins. Zeolith also promotes fast growth of bacterial cultures which convert nitrogen and fix and break down organic by-products. 1 kg Hobby Zeolith is sufficient for 500 l of water and remains effective for approx. 3 months, assuming average fish population levels.

Hobby Nitrate killer 250 ml

High concentration of nitrates causes growth of algae in aquariums. If there is a lack of CO² there is also the danger that nitrates could be reduced to nitrites which are highly poisonous for fish. Hobby nitrate killer quickly removes nitrates from the water by ion exchange and this is not given off in the aquarium water again.
The Content (250 ml) neutralises 10.000-12.500 mg nitrate.
Contains 2 net bags to use in the filter.
Reduces nitrates in a 200 litre aquarium by up to 50 mg/l.
The Hobby Nitrate killer can be regenerated with the Regeneration salt.
