PREIS Lavaplan

PREIS Lavaplan is a long lasting filter material for fresh and seawater aquariums and biological filter and ideal nutritious flooring for aquatic plants. Lavaplan is exeptionally appropriate for long-life biological filters due to its porous surface structure. With ist low mass, its high purity and its neutral pH, PREIS Lavaplan, on the contrary, is a valuable asset to all aquariums. The different grain sizes (2,5 to 5 mm) of Lavaplan allow for efficient water flow which is indispensable for optimal bacterial colonisation. Due to the looseness and light weight of this gravel material, freshwater plants can fully develop their roots, thus enabling them to produce more beautiful and stronger foliage. At the same time, the absorption of nutrients by the roots is facilitated.

PREIS Lavaplan is also recommended as flooring in seawater aquariums. It greatly facilitates colonisation by aerobic bacteria. The pH value remains stable and nitrification occurs smoothly. Invertebrates such as anemones, tube worms and cylinder roses dig themselves in and thrive. A great number of small crabs thrive in the loose, oxygen-rich PREIS Lavaplan flooring, providing a source of nutrition for delicate seawater fish.

PREIS Redu-Phos 330 g

High phosphate concentration, an undesirable fertilizer, leads to excessive growth of algae on the one side and growth disorder of the fish on the other side. PREIS Redu-Phos binds the phosphate and does not release it into the water when the absorbency of the product diminishes. If the latter exceeds 0,5mg/l the algae growth becomes quickly uncontrollable. The brush algae, the beard algae and the blue algae (Cyanobacteria) will pollute the freshwater and the green filamentous (Spirogyra, sp.) and red smear algae will infest the seawater. Phosphate is an ideal fertilizer for these algae. Some corals, especially the hard corals, are very sensitive to phosphate and die when the water has an excessive phosphate concentration.

Package content: 2 bags with 165 g granulate each (binds together approx. 22,000 mg phosphate). One bag is sufficient for 300 l aquarium water.

PREIS Algan-Granulates 400 g

An invasion of algae in a freshwater aquarium is not only unsightly, but it also harms subsequently the aquatic plants. An excessive proliferation of algae is mainly caused by an overflow of pollutants such as nitrate, phosphate and the dissolved organic compounds deriving from the fish and the plants. These substances act as a fertilizer and become nutrients for the algae of all kinds. By using Preis-Algan-Granulates, you eliminate these nutrients and pollutants from the water and bind them in the filter material. This is also why the latter can be used as a fertilizer for your plants inside as well as outside. The mineral trace elements that are necessary for your aquatic plants are on the other hand safeguarded.

Package content: 2 bags with 200 g granulate each. One bag of PREIS Algan-Granulates is sufficient for approx. 250 l of aquarium water.
