ab Aqua Medic Calciumreactor 400

The ab Aqua Medic Calciumreactor 400 is a completely sealed system. It is operated at a very low flow rate. Whithin the reactor calcium and calcium bicarbonate ions are release by the controlled dosing of CO² gas. This provides the calcium hydrocarbonate that hard coral require to build their exoskeletons.

The filter can be installed in almost any position, inside or outside the aquarium or the cabinet. The water flow is provided by connecting to a standard canister filter, power head or by pass circuit.
The reactor is filled with Aqua Medic Hydrocarbonate -a pure form of calcium carbonate with extremely low phosphate level.
For optimum control and the most economic use of the CO² gas, it is recommended the reactor be used in conjunction with an Aqua Medic pH controller. The reactor is already equipped to accept a special pressurised electrode.
For sea water aquaria up to 400 litres.

ab Aqua Medic Calciumreactor 1000

-is a closed system and universal used for aquaria up to 1200 l. It has an large volume of 10 l of Hydrocarbonate and a integrated circulation pump.. By adding CO² the pH value in the Calciumreactor drops and Hydrocarbonate is dissolved. Even with a low flow rate of 1-4 l/h a large amount of dissolved calcium enters into the aquarium which can be taken up by the animals. The Calciumreactor has a port to install a pH electrode which is used to measure the pH value.

ab Aqua Medic Calciumreaktor 5000

- is designed like the smaller version, as a closed system for aquaria up to 5000 l. With the attached pump inernal water circulation is produced. A port with standard thread is installed to measure the pH value in the reactor. The reactor has a volume of 30 lieters and it comes delivered with a 15 L bucket of Hydrocarbonate. Depending on the demand of the aquarium, a recommended flow rate of 12 up to 30 liters per hour.

ab Aqua Medic Kalkwasserreaktor

The Kalkwasserreaktor is a sealed unit designed to supply reef aquaria with calcium by enriching the fresh water top up supply. It uses the Kalkwasser-method and is filled with calcium hydroxide, which is intermittently agitated by a pump. It is possible to automate the system by combining an automatic level controller with the Aqua Medic Kalkwasserreaktor. The reactor is engineered to take a pH electrode to control the quality of the water. An aditional advantage of this method is, that phosphate is removed from the top up and the aquarium water.
