Biorotor filter for marine and freshwater aquariums up to 250 litresThe Biostar is a complete biological and mechanical filter system for aquariums up to 250 litres volume and is easily mounted as a hang on filter outside the aquarium. Its principal component is the Biorotor, a rotating sponge wheel This wheel is only partly immersed and as a result, the bacteria living on the sponge are alternately emersed and submersed. This encourages a high oxygen uptake and the filter becomes a powerful reducer of biological waste - volume to volume far more efficient than conventional trickle filters. The Biostar is equipped with a pre filter sponge for mechanical filtration and a circulation pump with a capacity of 1000 I/hr Dimensions (length x width x heigth): 8x25x23cm

The compact external filter system for salt water aquariums up to 250 litres.The Biostar Flotor is a combination of a powerful motor driven protein skimmer with the Biorotor biological filter. It is designed for salt water aquariums up to 250 litres. It is the smallest commercially manufactured complete filter system for salt water aquariums. The competitively priced Biostar Flotor allows nearly every tank within its capacity to be transformed into a marine aquarium. It is an ideal filter system for beginners in the marine hobby. With the Biostar Flotor the new trend in marine aquaria, the Microreef and Nanoreef aquariums can be successfully achieved. The skimming capacity of the system is large enough for dense stocking levels, even with fast growing SPS corals. Through the use of a surface overflow and pre-filter sponge the water is guided to the Midiflotor (protein skimmer). From there it is pumped to a biological trickle-filter, filled with Bactoballs, and through the Nitratreductor. A second pump with a capacity of 1,000 l/h pumps the water back to the aquarium. With the Marin 500, existing aquaria can be changed into a powerful seawater tanks without modification.

The Marin 1000 filter system is designed for use under the aquarium. It consists of an enclosed filter sump housing the filter modules. For maintenance, the modules are easily reached through two sliding panes, and for installation, the lid of the filter housing can be removed. Aquarium water is first treated by the three trickle filter modules that utilise Bactoballs as their biological media. A mechanical/carbon module is included in the main water flow whilst a patended Turboflotor 1000 venturi protein skimmer operates an a by pass line. A Nitratreductor is supplied with water by a dosing pump SP 3000.Dimensions filter housing: 60,5 x 40,5 x 57,5 cm (lenght x width x height)
For the installation a minimum additional 15 cm in the length is required.

For aquaria up to 1000 l. The filter is designed for use under the aquarium. It contains all elements, that necessary for the successful maintenance of a modern reef aquarium. The Riff 1000 consists of a filter sump 90x36x35 cm, with mechanical filter chamber. From here, the water flows via the two venturi pumps into both Turboflotor 1000, with their post switched trickle-filters. The other components are the Nitratreductor, the Calciumreactor and the Niveaustat, a storage tank for topping up the tank.
