OFA Surface suction extractor


The OFA water surface extractor is a very effective appliance to be used in any marine and freshwater tank. The appliance makes the water clear and with low surface tension. This enables a free gas exchange. As in the nature, the balance of gases is achieved. The biochemical oxygen demand in the tank is met and the bacterial filter structure assists the ideal oxidation of organic substances. The lifetime of the filter is doubled and the sedimentation of mull is avoided. The open, low-tension water surface increases the incidence of light and improves the photosynthesis. The appliance can be used with any suction filter of 30 - 1200 l/h. There is an automatic level adjustment of up to 60 mm. When feeding the fish, the suction effect at the water surface can be cut off.

The OFA water surface extractor is available in 3 versions:

OFA Standard:
The OFA Standard comes with the adjusting bar and the piston permanently connected. To be used in open tanks.

OFA Komfort:
On the OFA Komfort, the adjuting bar can be detached after the adjustment. To be used in tanks with cover

OFA Teleskop:
The OFA Teleskop has a telescopic main tube, the adjusting bar can be detached. To be used for tanks of more than 40 cm depth, with or without cover.

The EHEIM Surface suction extractor skims off the protein layer which forms on the water surface, improving oxygen exchange. The EHEIM Surface suction extractor prevents undesirable biological process on the water surface. It hence optimum exchange of oxygen. Therefore light enters unimpeded for better water plant growth. The EHEIM Surface suction extractor is suitable for all aquarium sizes. It is possible to shut off the Surface suction extractor during feeding the fish.

Suitable for all external aquarium filters with standard hose 12/16 mm (inner/outer diameter). For operation with all other external filters, which have a suction hose greater than 12/16 mm, you need a connecting piece. A distance spacer is available for bridging large aquarium frames (take a look at accessories).

Water surface Skimmer


The water surface skimmer can be installed in fresh and marine water aquarium tanks. It clean the water surface and removes surface mud and protein. The water will be sucked in on the water surface and on the botton of the skimmer. The flow rate from the bottom can be adjusted. The Water surface skimmer can be installed with different aquarium filters like external filters or hang-on filters (e.g. EHEIM Liberty). The aquarium tank should be have a min. height of 30 cm. The delivery is complete with suction cups and flexible hose. Different installation versions are possible with these Water surface skimmer.
