Phosphate is the main cause of algae in the aquarium. The phospahte content in the aquarium water should be tested regularly and not be risen over 0,1-0,3 mg/l. ROWAphos fights successfully high phosphate values in the fresh and sea water aquarium without the aquarium water to influence negatively. ROWAphos can be used both in the bypass-way, and in the main stream. The material is brought in either into the attached filtering trunk, or between two layers of filter cotton wool. Dosage: 100 ml are sufficient for 200-400 l fresh water, or 100-200 l sea water.

Tropic Marin Elimi-Control Phosphate is a controllable filter system with centrifugal pump which ensures consistently low phosphate levels in fresh and sea water aquaria. Phosphates are of special concern in saltwater aquaria. Freshwater aquaria also require a low phosphate concentration to ensure optimal plant growth. The Tropic Marin Elimi-Control Phosphate slow filtering system works simply and efficiently to reduce the phosphate concentration and maintain it within the optimum range.A phosphate concentration of 0.05 mg/l or less is optimal for coral reef aquariums. At this low concentration, stony corals, in particular, grow very well and exhibit vivid coloration. Increased levels of phosphates, however, inhibit calcium carbonate formation and consequently slow down skeleton growth. At the same time, they lead to a loss in color, causing a brownish coloration in corals. Plant aquariums thrive and grow especially well if the phosphate concentration does not exceed 0.3 mg / l. These conditions support the requirements of higher plants and significantly reduce the risk of undesirable algae growth. The Tropic Marin Elimi-Control Phosphate filter system can be used anywhere in the aquarium or in the filtering sump. It is completely independent of other filtering systems and can fit in a concealed area because of is compact, space-efficient design. The phosphate adsorption media is easily changed: simply replace the depleted cartridge with a new Elimi-Control Phosphate filter cartridge and the systems full efficiency is restored. The filter system is designed for aquariums holding up 600 l net of water. The Tropic Marin Elimi-Control Phosphate filter system can be expanded with the special additional cartridges to fit large aquariums of any size.

Tropic Marin Elimi-PhosS contains highly effective granules for the removal of phosphates and organic pollutants in saltwater and freshwater aquaria. It is especially recommended to prevent unwanted algae growth. Phosphates become so strongly bonded to the Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos granules, that it will never be released, even after the full absorption capacity of the Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos is reached. In addition to effective removal of phosphates, Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos takes the place of activated charcoal and will improve the general water quality in the aquarium.Application and dosage:
Place 100 g per 200 litres of water and position it in the filter or other area of strong water circulation. It is always a good idea to make any changes in your aquarium environment slowly. If the organic load of the aquarium is very high, start with 100 g Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos per 500 litres of water and slowly increase to the above recommended maximum. This will give your more delicate plants and animals a gradual introduction to the positive change in water quality. Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos can remain in the aquarium even after ist absorption capacity has been reached. When the phosphate level in the aquarium starts to increase again, repeat the procedure with new Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos.

The phosphatefilter is a compact chemical filtration chamber for aquarium use. It can be installed in line with any standart canister filter or a separate pump. The filter contains 1 liter of antiphos. This reduces the level of phosphate and thus curtailing the growth of filamentous algae. Depending on the phosphate level, one filling is good for an aquarium up to 400 liter. One filling should last between four to 12 weeks. The phosphatefilter can be used for fresh- and seawater aquaria.
