The Tetra EX Plus external filters – EX 500 Plus, EX 700 Plus, EX 1000 Plus and EX 1500 Plus – provide powerful multi-stage filtration to keep aquarium water clear and healthy. Compared to previous generations, the range has been technically updated: a larger canister and wider hose diameters deliver a significantly improved flow rate while maintaining the same or even lower energy consumption.

All models use mechanical, biological and chemical filtration via several media baskets with different filter materials. Coarse and fine debris, excess nutrients and dissolved organic matter are removed efficiently to support a stable aquarium environment. Each filter is supplied as a complete external filter set including all filter media, hoses and connectors, allowing quick installation and immediate operation without extra parts.

The different sizes cover a wide range of tank volumes:

EX 500 Plus for aquariums up to approx. 100 L

EX 700 Plus for aquariums of around 100–200 L

EX 1000 Plus for aquariums up to approx. 300 L

EX 1500 Plus for larger tanks in the upper medium volume range
