The Söchting Carbonator delivers 1g pure CO2 daily for your aquatic plants. Without cables or bottles for aquaria up to 250 l. The Söchting Carbonator works like the very succesful principal of the well known Söchting Oxydator. A small catalyst drives out constant and steadily citric acid from the plastic container. The citric acid is dripping down into carbonate solution. The result is harmless citrate solution and pure carbon dioxide. The CO2 will be collected under the diving bell and is diffusing into the water, where the aquatic plants can easily consume it. Because of the very sophisticated system of the Söchting Carbonator, only pure CO2 is coming into the water. The remaining citrate solution is harmless and can be poured in the sink. With refill set contained in the scope of supply the operation of the Söchting Carbonator is possible for more than two months.

Bought this product because of low CO2 levels and dying plants because of it. Installation is very easy and in a big aquarium it is not to big and can be very easily hidden. Also works very fast, as soon as the installation is complete it starts to give off CO2. So the next day my CO2 readings were finally good. Only thing is, that in my aquarium it does not work 4 weeks, but more like 2 weeks and than my CO2 levels start to drop again. So yes the product works very good, but in my case not as long as it should. I have a 240L aquarium and wanted to avoid using pressure gas tanks for CO2. Der carbonator ist super. Meine pflanzen wachsen viel besser seit ich dieses teil habe. Bedienung ist dabei supereinfach
