The Beauty Light Plus tube is designed primarily for the large numer of aquariums that do not contain plants either because the convenience of plastic plants is prefered or the fish species kept dig/eat all plants life. In these circumstances light output and spectrum are dictated by a desire to create an attractive aesthetic viewing effect and minimize algae problems. In these aquariums the classic Glrolux spectrum has traditionally been liked for ist ability to bring out reds and blues in fish however it gives an unnatural pink tinge and fattens all green and yellow colours. So most people add a warm-white style lamp to balance the overall effects and bring out the greens and yellows. The Beauty Light Plus is a balanced combination of the Grolux and warm-white spectrums which achieves the same effects with one lamp, this means less light to promote algae growth.The High power T5 Compact lamp offers more light by shorter length than conventional T5 or T8 fluorescent lamps. With these space-saving fluorescent lamps it is now for the first time possible to light up also smaller aquariums optimally. The average life span of the lamp is approx. 10.000 operation hours. To operate this lamp properly you must use the correct Interpet lamp lighting unit or luminaire (see accessories below).
