Based on the popular actinic03 spectrum but broadened slightly to fluoresce more corals and mimic the light spectrum on a broader area of the deep reef. Blue Moon has a pleasing moon light style effect and so can be used for after dark lighting of aquariums. This facilitates viewing of nocturnal inhabitans and stops the aquarium becoming an unsightly black hole in the corner of the lounge after lights out. If Blue Moon is timed to come on first and go off last it also reduces fish being startled by sudden light changes on start up.Blue Moon is supplementing the blue actinic part of the spectrum in marine invertebrate and fish aquariums. After dark lighting for marine and freshwater aquariums to view nocturnal species and create a pleasing aesthetic effect.
The High power T5 Compact lamp offers more light by shorter length than conventional T5 or T8 fluorescent lamps. With these space-saving fluorescent lamps it is now for the first time possible to light up also smaller aquariums optimally. The average life span of the lamp is approx. 10.000 operation hours. To operate this lamp properly you must use the correct Interpet lamp lighting unit or luminaire (see accessories below).
