This facilitates viewing of nocturnal inhabitans and stops the aquarium becoming an unsightly black hole in the corner of the lounge after lights out. If Blue Moon is timed to come on first and go off last it also reduces fish being startled by sudden light changes on start up.Blue Moon is supplementing the blue actinic part of the spectrum in marine invertebrate and fish aquariums.
