| JBL Carbomec ultra is an activated carbon in pellet form with extremely high absorbtion capacity. lt is particularly well suited for the long-term removal of discolouration and high molecular organic pollutants from saltwateraquariums. In freshwater aquariums. JBL Carbomec ultra should only be used for a very short length of time (max. 2-3 days) to remove residual medication or other harmful substances in freshwater aquariums. In freshwater aquariums, JBL Carbomec ultra should not be permanently used as a filter substance as beneficial substances such as protective colloids or nutrients found in modern aquarium fertilizers (JBL Ferropol) will also be absorbed. Activated carbon specially designed for pH 8.
