The most striking feature of the new professionel 4+ external filter is the emergency button "Xtender". This button makes it possible to have a little more time until the next cleaning of the external filter is carried out. Who of us aquarists isnt familiar with this problem? Always when we have the least time the water throughput is low and the filter is blocked calling for an immediate cleaning. Using the emergency button "Xtender" you will gain a few more days without any adverse effect on the biological filtration capacity. The gradually adjustable Xtender button makes the water pass partly around the microfilter inside the filter system so that the water throughput is restored and the aquarium filter goes on working as usual. The new EHEIM professionel 4+ and its installation fittings come in fashionable anthracite colour. I have 2 of these pumps running on a 350l juwel trigon tank, and have been very impressed, until recently.....
On the newer pump, approx 2 years old, the pump keeps stopping, for what I think is an overheating coil in the plastic housing that drives the impeller.
I assume the coil is encapsulated in plastic, and that indicates that it is possibly a manufacturing defect (called short circuit turns)
The price of the head is 144 euro plus delivery (to Ireland) whereas a complete pump is just over 250euro.

Фильтр купил для 200л аквариума. Производительности хватает. Доставка в Россию приблизительно 3 недели и это в условиях короновируса, упаковано все хорошо, пришло все в целости. Магазин рекомендую. По самому фильтру - выполнен очень качественно, все переключатели-разъемы работают как часы, все удобно, все стыкуется без зазоров, все продумано, фильтром очень доволен. Теперь о недостатках: в комплекте нет заводской смазки-вазелина Eheim, обидно, хотя нигде и не сказано, что она должен быть. Также смотрите по объему комплектного наполнителя, как по мне - пришлось дополнять, т.к. корзины после заполнения наполнителем из комплекта поставки показались пустоваты. По шуму - если фильтр стоит не в тумбе, то с расстояния полметра его вообще не слышно, даже ночью. В аквариумной тумбе при установке в нее фильтра у меня видно проявился какой-то резонанс и слышно низкочастотное гудение, буду шумоизолировать.Dor M. at 28.04.2020:

Отличный, качественный, тихий фильтр, заказывал его на 200-х литровый аквариум. С плотным населением рыб справляется хорошо, второй такой же стоит на 300 литровом для плотной посадки рыб (слабоват). Filter bought for the aquarium 270 liters. If used with a flute supplied, the current is large. The filtration quality is very good. If someone will spread the entrance and exit to different edges of the aquarium, then immediately buy an additional hose.

Фильтр покупался для 500л. аквариума как дополнительный фильтр. Не скажу что он безшумный, немного шумит, холодильник тише работает, чем этот фильтр. У меня в аквариуме 2 взрослых астранотуса 35см и арована 65см, рыб не перекармливаю но вода все равно грязная, вильтр не справляется, он скарее всего подойдёт для мелкой рыбы таких как неоны, но не для цихлидника.Дмитрий at 23.02.2019:

As for the filter itself - I was surprised by the lack of silicone grease in the kit for lubricating the filter head gasket. It is also a big question for the manufacturer regarding the quality of the hose - it is very tough, without preheating in hot water it is almost impossible to straighten it, as well as to assemble the inlet and outlet systems too.I had to heat the hose with a hairdryer to put on the tubes and the filter head. Also, the manufacturer saved on separate stop valves for hoses - the whole system is not collapsible, and later on when cleaning the filter, especially the hoses will have to be pretty tricky. Что касается интернет магазина, то мне очень нравится магазин aquaristikshop большой выбор товаров хорошие цены и доставка в Финляндию чаще всего за 10-14 дней и только один раз доставка была долгой 1месяц. Заказы делаю у этого магазина уже более двух лет.
Что касается самого фильтра EHEIM professionel 4+ 600, так я им ещё не начала пользоваться и уже нашла минусы, а именно в упаковке входил всего один шланг!! Так мало того что он один и мне нужно его разрезать чтобы подключить фильтр на забор воды из аквариума так и на её выход в аквариум, так этот шланг ещё и короткий!!! Мне этого шланга не хватает либо на вход, либо на выход!! Вот мне нужно опять делать заказ и в этот раз буду заказывать шланг для этого фильтра ! EHEIM мог бы или в упаковку ложить два шланга один короткий, а другой подлиннее или хотя бы эк этому одному добавить хотя бы ещё один метр. Механическая фильтрация посредственная, биологическая на уровне.
Вполне тихий но может быть небольшая низкочастотная вибрация.

Vey silent. Comes with all filter media, easy to clean. The only negative thing that it lacks threaded hose connections at the intake and the outlet. Seit mittlerweile 25 Jahren habe ich die Filter von EHEIM und war mit diesen auch immer vollstens zufrieden. Bestimmt wird der 4+ 600 auch meinen Erwartungen entsprechen, davon bin ich absolut überzeugt.
