The sera PrefiX Filter allows enhancing the filter volume of a connected filter by up to 1.6 liters (0.4 US gal.) with two variably useable filter baskets. The motorless filter is, for instance suitable as a prefilter in case of cloudiness, as a quick filter in case of pollution or as a biofilter for expanding the filter capacity of small external filters. The sera PrefiX filter can be connected to a pump or an external filter by means of a sera hose 16/22 mm. Connecting several PrefiX filter in series is also possible. In case of fine grained filter media, using filter net bag is recommended.

The Prefix filter gives me the opportunity to lower the nitate level in my aquarium.

This is an amazing device, i use it as a prefilter and reactor with different resins, i have a very good filter canister and this sera Prefix filter make it so much easier for maintenance and keep the main filter runing for a long time without disturbing our precious bacteria army, whatever filter you have, you will need this, adding different resins or activated carbon is soooo easy now( disconection from the circuit is straight forward 👍 ), thank you Happydiscus 😊Viktor K. at 23.04.2019:

Качеством работы sera PrefiX Filter -Universal Filter доволен,префильтор зделан очень качественно и надежно нигде не подтекает вода проходит через него очень хорошо без нариканий, единственный минус это то что нельзя купить дополнительные силиконовые прокладки и краны к этому sera PrefiX Filter, надеюсь производитель учтет этот момент и они появятся в продаже. The quality of work sera PrefiX Filter-Universal Filter happy,prefilter made very efficiently and reliably never leaking water passes through it very well without narekaniy, the only disadvantage is that you can't buy the extra silicone gaskets and valves to this sera PrefiX Filter, I hope the manufacturer will consider this point, and they will be on sale.
