Many species of zooplankton from sea- and freshwater can be cultivated in this reactor. The plankton is feed with microalgae from the plankton light reactor. The zooplankton has a great growth potential. Under optimal algae nutrition, the number of rotifers (Branchionus) may double during four days. ab Aqua Medic plankton light reactor

- is a system for the production of plankton in a natural food chain. In the reactor, microalgae are produced with light, fertilizer and CO². They can be fed directly to many filter-feeding invertebrates and espacially to zooplankton. If the supply with light, CO² and nutrients is guaranted, the biomass of the algae may increase four fold within 24 h. Content: reactor, app 2,5 l volume, wall bracket, connections for air pump, illumination unit with fluorescent tube, 18 W, and special reflektor.
