  • Aquarium Munster Narcomor Plus is a animal welfare-approved medication for the pain-free anaesthetisation, sedation, tranquillisation or for the humane putting down (euthanasia) of incurably ill ornamental freshwater and marine fish. Rapid and gentle treatment for ornamental fish allowing stressfree examination, e.g. mucous membrane swab, under anaesthetic. The addition of narcomor to the transportation water will act as a sedative on the ornamental fish, keeping them calmduring transportation.

Application and dosage Aquarium Munster Narcomor Plus
For use as an anaesthetic for ornamental fish:
Usage: Add 5 ml (0.17 oz) Aquarium Munster Narcomor Plus to 10 l (2.6 gal) of aquarium or pond water. Draw up the required amount of Aquarium Munster Narcomor Plus into the enclosed syringe and then draw the same amount of water into the syringe. Push the plunger down firmly to expel the contents into the prepared aquarium or pond water. Make sure the product is distributed as evenly as possible. Within a few minutes, the breathing of the ornamental fish will slow down and they will show no further reaction. Their breathing becomes slow and regular. When the ornamental fish are put back into the aquarium or pond, they will resume normal activity within a few minutes. In case of symptoms pointing to an overdose (very weak or hardly perceptible respiratory movements), put the fish in a well-ventilated recovery bath immediately and keep moving them and encouraging them to swim in the right direction. The fish should start taking short gasps of breath and their gill covers should start to move if the resuscitation process is successful.

For use as a sedative when transporting ornamental fish:
Dilute 5 ml (0.17 oz) Aquarium Munster Narcomor Plus with the same amount of aquarium or pond water using the enclosed syringe, push the plunger down firmly to expel the contents of the syringe into 40 l (10.6 gal) transport water and ensure it is evenly distributed. The ornamental fish will be pacified within a few minutes in preparation for stress-free transportation. Do not put the treated water back into the aquarium or pond after transportation.

For use as a humane way to euthanise a fish:
Usage: Add 15 ml (0.5 oz) Aquarium Munster Narcomor Plus to 10 l (2.6 gal) of aquarium or pond water. Draw up the required amount of Aquarium Munster Narcomor Plus into the enclosed syringe and then draw the same amount of water into the syringe. Push the plunger down firmly to expel the contents into the prepared aquarium or pond water. Make sure the product is distributed as evenly as possible. Leave the fish in the anaesthetic bath for at least 30 minutes. The ornamental fish will pass away peacefully without any pain.
