The Interpet TriPlus light spectrum is based on the light spectrum requirements of corals and plants and also takes into account the light absoption of water. The result is a lamp that concentrates all of ist power output in the areas of the spectrum, which penetrate water and is utilised by plants/corals. This is a unique approach compared to daylight (6500 K colour temperature) imitation lamps, which waste power in unnecessary areas of the spectrum. Interpet TriPlus uses Triphosphor technology that gives a bright light with high lumen output and an excellent maintenance of light output. TriPlus remains above 90% of maximum light output for the whole life of the tube (approx. 10,000 h), so no more replacing faded lamps after 6 months. The Interpet Beauty Light Plus tube is designed primarily for the large numer of aquariums that do not contain plants either because the convenience of plastic plants is prefered or the fish species kept dig/eat all plants life. In these circumstances light output and spectrum are dictated by a desire to create an attractive aesthetic viewing effect and minimize algae problems. In these aquariums the classic Glrolux spectrum has traditionally been liked for ist ability to bring out reds and blues in fish however it gives an unnatural pink tinge and fattens all green and yellow colours. So most people add a warm-white style lamp to balance the overall effects and bring out the greens and yellows. The Beauty Light Plus is a balanced combination of the Grolux and warm-white spectrums which achieves the same effects with one lamp, this means less light to promote algae growth. Interpet Blue Moon has a pleasing moon light style effect and so can be used for after dark lighting of aquariums. This facilitates viewing of nocturnal inhabitans and stops the aquarium becoming an unsightly black hole in the corner of the lounge after lights out. If Blue Moon is timed to come on first and go off last it also reduces fish being startled by sudden light changes on start up.Blue Moon is supplementing the blue actinic part of the spectrum in marine invertebrate and fish aquariums.
