I didn't notice any change in the color when I measured my aquarium. Probably there is no ammonia in it. I don't think that the quality of the product is the same with other manufacture.I can't recommend it right now. If someone interest for this product I suggest to buy first some other tests from Salifert to
see if works and then buy this test.
