  Das Erweiterungsmodul wird mit passendem Filterschwamm, Ansaugrohr-verlängerung sowie Filterrohrverlängerung geliefert. Mit dem Modul kann der Innenfilter NL 1000 oder NL 500 verlängert werden, so dass dieser bei Aquuarien mit einer Höhe von über 50 cm auf dem Kiesboden stehen kann (der Filterkopf wird durch Saugnäpfe an der Aquuarienscheibe befestigt). Mit dem Erweiterungsmodul vergrößert man das Filtervolumen, was bei Aquarien ab 100 l durchaus zweckmäßig ist.
