I've tried this food in both M and XXL. It is a great choice for a main food, but I do recommend rotating between the different flavours Dr. Bassleer offers, as my fish seem to really enjoy the variation and the more exotic flavours available a bit more, as well as the occasional green peas and other vegetables.
I started with a box of M sized food, but it was a bit small for my goldfish so I eventually went for the XXL.
The M size is quite small, and if you have a strong current in your tank, it will spread like crazy. I highly recommend a fairly "deep" feeding station like the Eheim Feeding Station, to minimize the spread, and making sure your fish gets to it before it lands on the bottom substrate. This won't be a problem for many smaller fish or bottom feeders, but it worth paying attention to of you have goldfish or other top or middle level tank feeding fish, as they would have to go digging on the bottom fairly quickly.
So the small sizes will obviously pollute more than the bigger pellets, especially if there is strong currents in your tank. Some will sink, some will stay a float, so it does move around a lot unless you can contain it to a specific feeding spot etc..
That said, all Dr.Bassleer products I have tried are great food, and your fish will love it. Better appetite and more active fish is my experience with this brand, and I highly recommend it.
