Chihiros Through-Flow Heater PRO 0-1000 W

The Chihiros PRO 0-1000 W flow-through heater is a powerful, externally mounted aquarium heater for freshwater aquariums. It is integrated directly into the hose circuit of an external filter and heats the water as it flows past the heater outside the aquarium. This keeps the interior of the tank free of visible heating equipment—a particular advantage for aquascapes and open-concept aquariums.

The heating output automatically adjusts to current demand and can range from 10 to 1000 watts. The desired water temperature can be set between 10 and 35 °C. The heater is conveniently controlled via the My Chihiros app using Bluetooth. A digital display on the unit also shows the current temperature, the set target temperature, and the current heating output.

Thanks to its variable power control, the Chihiros Heater PRO can be used in aquariums of various sizes. Depending on the tank size, Chihiros recommends heating outputs ranging from approximately 100 W for aquariums with a side length of 30-60 cm up to 1,000 W for aquariums measuring 150-180 cm. This means the maximum power does not need to be used continuously but is regulated as needed. To ensure safe operation, the flow-through heater features overheating protection and dry-run protection. Since the unit is designed for external installation in the filter circuit, it must not be operated directly inside the aquarium. The Chihiros Heater PRO is suitable exclusively for freshwater aquariums.

The flow-through heater is available in two versions and can thus be adapted to the standard hose sizes of many external filters. Both versions have the same unit dimensions and the same power range.
