Filter Media Filter Cartridges

Replacement filter cartridges, pads, foams and fleeces must match the exact aquarium filter and the intended filtration stage. This category contains model-specific media from several manufacturers for internal and external filters, including mechanical, biological and adsorbing replacement elements.

Before ordering, identify the filter manufacturer, complete model designation and, where relevant, the model generation. Compare the dimensions, shape and product reference with the existing insert. Similar-looking cartridges are not automatically interchangeable, even within one manufacturer's range.

Coarse foam, fine fleece, biological media and activated-carbon or other specialist pads perform different tasks and follow different replacement intervals. Replace or clean each stage according to its function and the manufacturer's instructions. Avoid replacing all biologically active media at the same time unless the filter instructions explicitly require it.
