Choose aquarium heating or cooling for tank volume and target temperature
Aquarium temperature equipment includes heaters, heating cables, fans, controllers and active cooling units. The appropriate solution depends on aquarium volume, room conditions, target temperature, livestock and the amount of heat introduced by lighting, pumps and other equipment.
Heater output must suit the temperature difference between the room and aquarium. Fan cooling works through evaporation, so its effect varies with humidity, surface area and airflow. Active cooling units provide greater control but require suitable capacity, ventilation and installation space.
Compare output, adjustment range, sensor arrangement, mounting and approved water type. Temperature changes should be monitored with a suitable thermometer or controller. Product pages show electrical data, scope of delivery and compatible accessories.
