Heating & Cooling JBL

JBL heating products in this category include in-tank heater-stats, external through-flow heaters, substrate heating cables and matching accessories. These systems heat the aquarium in different ways and are not interchangeable.

Select a ProTemp S heater according to aquarium volume and installation length. External e-series or ProTemp External heaters must match the external-filter circuit, hose size, flow and required heating power. Substrate heaters are installed beneath the substrate and serve a different purpose from regulating the complete aquarium temperature.

Check the actual water volume, ambient temperature, electrical load and installation conditions. Install heaters and sensors as instructed, ensure reliable water circulation and verify the resulting temperature with an independent thermometer. Do not use heating cables or external heaters outside their stated application.
