Choose aquarium background foil and the correct mounting aid

Aquarium background foils create a calm or decorative background behind the rear glass and can visually conceal cables, hoses and the view through the aquarium. This category includes printed backgrounds and suitable mounting aids such as Juwel PosterFix, Hobby FotoFix and JBL Fixol.

Choose the design and foil size to match the visible rear pane. Many foils can be trimmed, but should be aligned carefully before installation. A suitable background adhesive or fixing product can reduce air pockets and make colours appear more even. Follow the individual instructions because the products are not all applied in the same way.

Clean and dry the outside of the glass according to the product instructions before fitting the background. Background foils are attached externally and must not be confused with decorative backgrounds designed for installation inside the aquarium.
