hw UV sterilisers expose passing aquarium water to UV-C radiation and are available in several power ratings for different system sizes. This category also includes the matching replacement lamp supplied with its glass jacket. The replacement part is not a complete steriliser.

Select a unit according to aquarium volume, actual flow rate, application and installation conditions. Effective exposure depends not only on wattage but also on how quickly water passes through the device. Check hose connections, pump performance, available space and whether the intended use is freshwater or marine.

Install the steriliser so that UV-C light cannot escape and operate it only as specified by the manufacturer. Switch off and isolate the unit before maintenance. Replace the lamp according to its operating time and condition, and ensure that seals and the protective glass components are correctly fitted.
