Compare external dimensions, gross volume, glass thickness and shape with the intended installation. A shallow vessel and a tall, narrow aquarium create very different conditions for lighting, maintenance, water movement and access. The product name alone does not determine suitability for animals.

Plan a level, load-bearing surface and suitable lighting, filtration, heating and cover only where required by the intended use. Very small volumes react quickly to temperature and water-quality changes. Before adding livestock, assess the usable water volume and species-specific space and stability requirements.
