Compare the individual model rather than assuming that features apply to the complete brand range.

Check the recommended aquarium volume, stated pump output, filter-media capacity, number of baskets or modules and the dimensions of the filter. Actual circulation is affected by installation height, hose length, fittings and the condition of the media. The available space in the aquarium cabinet and access for maintenance should be measured before ordering.
