The daytime unix WRGB LED Light black is a particularly powerful and versatile LED aquarium light for freshwater aquariums, planted aquariums, and demanding aquascapes. It combines a broad WRGB light spectrum with high efficiency, excellent color rendering, and a durable, black-anodized aluminum housing. Instead of basic standard WRGB LEDs, daytime uses carefully selected individual LED chips in the unix. Four different LED groups are combined into each WRGB section. This produces broader color spectra and exceptionally natural, brilliant rendering of plants, fish, and decorations.

A distinctive feature is the additional Hyper Red component at 660 nm. This wavelength falls within a range that is particularly important for photosynthesis and specifically supports chlorophyll formation in aquarium plants. It also renders red plants and intense red coloration in fish with exceptional brilliance.

The daytime unix WRGB LED Light black features four separate color channels:
Fresh White at 6500 Kelvin
Royal Blue at 450 nm
Glow Red at 625 nm and Hyper Red at 660 nm
Neon Green at 530 nm

When used with the optional daytime Smart Control SC25, all four color channels can be controlled individually. This allows the light color to be flexibly tailored to personal preferences, plant selection, and the desired lighting atmosphere. The color temperature can be continuously adjusted from approximately 2700 to 20,000 Kelvin. Daylight simulations with sunrise, sunset, dawn and dusk colors, moonlight, or cloud effects are also possible. When the light is connected directly to a suitable Converter without a lighting controller, all channels operate at 100 percent output, producing light at approximately 6500 Kelvin. With an efficiency of up to 125 lumens per watt, the daytime unix delivers exceptionally high light output. The white light also offers a color rendering index of CRI >90, allowing aquarium colors to appear natural and distinct.

The LED components are fully embedded in a transparent, specialized potting compound. This hermetically sealed encapsulation reliably protects the electronics from moisture and meets the IP67 protection rating. The encapsulation is also impact- and abrasion-resistant and can be cleaned and polished back to crystal clarity if needed. This makes the daytime unix an excellent choice for continuous use directly above the aquarium.

The solid aluminum profile features a matte black-anodized finish in this version. This gives the light a particularly understated, modern appearance that complements dark aquarium hoods, black cabinets, and modern open aquarium setups. Another advantage is the proven daytime Inline Adapter System. Every unix includes internally fitted, extendable telescopic support rods made of solid aluminum. These can be adjusted to the aquarium's length and securely fixed in place. Various adapter sets can also be attached using the metric thread. This allows the unix to be used on open aquariums, inside enclosed hoods, or as a suspended light.

The system also offers considerable flexibility in power supply and control. Depending on the light size, a separately available daytime Converter with a suitable power rating is required. Dimmers, lighting controllers, splitters, and extension cables can also be added. Multiple unix lights can be operated together using a single Converter or lighting controller with sufficient capacity. The daytime unix WRGB LED Light black is available in numerous lengths, from compact models for nano aquariums to extra-long versions for large display tanks and room-divider aquariums. This makes the system suitable for virtually any aquarium size and highly adaptable to individual requirements.

A suitable daytime Converter is required to operate the daytime unix WRGB LED Light black. It is available separately and must be sized according to the power requirements of the selected light size. An optional lighting controller or dimmer can be installed between the light and the Converter. Multiple unix lights can also be operated together using suitable splitters, provided their combined power requirements do not exceed the capacity of the Converter used.
