The AQUAEL BT Thermometer is a modern electronic thermometer designed for convenient and precise monitoring of the temperature in your aquarium. Using the Aquael BT app, you can view the current readings directly on your smartphone or tablet. The thermometer not only measures the water temperature in the aquarium but also the ambient temperature outside the tank. A particularly useful feature is the ability to set custom minimum and maximum temperature limits. If these limits are exceeded or not met, the system issues an alarm. In addition, the integrated function LED signals deviations directly on the device. This makes the thermometer ideal for continuously monitoring the temperature and, for example, for ensuring that an aquarium heater is functioning properly.

The AQUAEL BT Thermometer uses two temperature sensors. The separate measuring probe is placed in the aquarium, where it continuously records the water temperature. At the same time, sensors in the housing measure the ambient temperature outside the aquarium. This way, both values are available at all times in the Aquael BT app. The main unit is mounted outside the water, only the measuring probe is located inside the aquarium. With a length of only about 11 cm, the housing is compact and unobtrusive. It attaches easily to the aquarium glass using a suction cup.

The Aquael BT app offers much more than just a display of the current reading. Temperature readings are saved regularly and can then be viewed as a temperature trend in an interactive graph. This makes it easy to track changes throughout the day as well as differences between day and night. According to the manufacturer, the measurement history is saved at 20-minute intervals. The temperature can be displayed in either degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. Upper and lower temperature limits can be set individually in the app. If the measured water temperature falls outside this range, a warning appears in the app and the function LED on the thermometer begins to flash.This feature provides additional safety, especially for temperature-sensitive fish, shrimp, and other aquarium inhabitants. At the same time, unexpected temperature changes or heater malfunctions can be detected more quickly. The device connects to a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth 5.0. All essential functions and settings are managed through the Aquael BT app. The app can manage multiple compatible AQUAEL BT devices simultaneously and also allows you to grant access to other users.

Optionally, the AQUAEL BT system can be expanded with the separately available AQUAEL WiFi Gateway BT. This allows compatible AQUAEL BT devices to be monitored and controlled via the Internet—even outside the direct Bluetooth range.
