The Aqua Medic Ceramic InfraRed Heater is a modern aquarium heater featuring innovative infrared technology. Unlike traditional rod heaters, it uses a large ceramic surface that enables particularly even heat transfer. Infrared rays penetrate water and obstacles and distribute heat evenly. This ensures that all objects in the aquarium, both inside and outside, are kept at a gentle, constant temperature. Every corner of the aquarium is heated evenly.Aqua Medic employs a heating principle based on the sun’s natural infrared spectrum. Infrared radiation can support cellular metabolism and thus contribute to a healthy environment for fish, invertebrates, corals, and aquatic plants. At the same time, the heat is distributed evenly throughout the entire aquarium.

Another advantage is its high energy efficiency. According to the manufacturer, infrared technology can achieve up to 30% greater efficiency compared to conventional heating methods. This makes the Ceramic InfraRed Heater particularly suitable for aquariums that require reliable and cost-effective heating. For added safety, the heater features built-in dry-run protection. It is suitable for both freshwater and saltwater aquariums and can be operated fully submerged. The robust ceramic surface and flat design also allow for discreet placement in the aquarium.

The Ceramic InfraRed Heater is available in several power ratings ranging from 100 to 1000 watts, covering aquarium sizes from approximately 100 to 3000 liters. The selection of the appropriate power rating depends on the aquarium volume, room temperature, and desired water temperature.

Important: The Aqua Medic Ceramic InfraRed Heater does not have its own temperature control and must always be used in combination with a suitable temperature controller. Aqua Medic recommends, for example, the optionally available T controller twin 2.0.
