Aqua Medic Protein Skimmer K1

The protein skimmers Aqua Medic K Series are very powerful and adjustable units for the filter sump. The dispergator pump with needle wheel enables the adjustment of the power of the protein skimmer. The new needle wheel is more effectively than the wheel of the previous skimmers. The Aqua Medic Skimmer of the K series is very quiet in operation. This is achieved by a special silencer and by a controllable water outlet at the bottom of the housing. This unit will effectively remove organic substances from your aquarium water.

The skimmer with venturi pump has to be placed in a separate filter tank. The water is pumped to the skimmer by the venturi pump. The pump draws water from the filter tank and mixes it with air. Within the pump housing, the bubbles are cut into very fine pieces by the Aqua Medic Power Wheel. The air/water mixture is pumped back into the skimmer. The treated water flows through the outlet out of the skimmer back into the filter tank.
