The Aqua Nova NSF-MAXBIO-200L is a powerful air-driven sponge filter designed for aquariums up to 200 liters. It features a combination of fine-pored dual sponges and an integrated bio-media chamber filled with ceramic filter rings. This hybrid design provides a large surface area for beneficial bacteria, ensuring stable water parameters and excellent biological filtration. The filter is powered by an air pump (not included), which creates a gentle upward flow through the sponges and bio chamber while simultaneously oxygenating the water. This makes it ideal for breeding tanks, shrimp aquariums, and setups with delicate or small fish, as it operates quietly and without strong current. Cleaning is simple: both the sponge elements and the bio media can be easily removed and rinsed—preferably using aquarium water to preserve the bacterial culture.
