The water is returned again and again when flowing through the special lattice structure and swirled turbolent. By the centrifugal energy occuring here the dirt particles become filtered from the water. The special lattice structure from the ZooBest Bio-Whirls offers a maximum surface, on that itself a biological film can form.

  Super, in meinem Innen- und Außenfiltern im Einsatz. Dadurch ist die Standzeit um 3-4 Wochen auf 3-4 Monate verlängert. Einfache Reinigung.

  Kunststoffhohlkörper mit ca. 1 cm Durchmesser, die im Filter mit unterschiedlicher Geschwindigkeit durchströmt werden. Dabei kommt es zu unterschiedlichen Abbauprozessen, wenn sich verschiedene Bakterien auf dem Material angesiedelt haben, was bei Kunststoff allerdings etwas langwieriger ist. Guter Kompromiss zwischen Durchströmbarkeit und Filterwirkung. Ich setze die Bio-Wirbel im Außenfilter in der ersten Kammer ein, da ich einen Eheim-Vorfilter vorgeschaltet habe.
