You put a small amount of water in the glass vial provided. Next you start adding the test mixture, drop by drop. The first drop changes the color of the water. When you continue adding drops, at some point the water color changes again. How many drops - as much is the KH of the tested water.Sounds good - but I did not find the test very accurate nor very reliable, as the water changes color so delicately. So I'm not sure of the results..
