  • The JBL ProAir a200 is the right choice when more air output and, above all, more pressure reserve are required - e.g., for deeper aquariums, fine air diffusers, or air-driven filters/air lifters that generate higher back pressure. With a flow rate of 200 l/h and > 130 mbar, it is significantly more powerful than the smaller models while remaining efficient (3.2 W). The air volume is electrically controlled so that the bubble pattern and surface movement can be adjusted to suit the stock and situation (e.g., at night). Recommended for approx. 90-300 l, the acoustic level is 43 dB(A) (at 1 l/min).

  • For which aquarium sizes is the ProAir a200 suitable?

For aquariums of approx. 90-300 liters.

What is the main difference between the a200 and the a60/a100?

In the combination of higher flow rate (200 l/h) and significantly higher pressure (> 130 mbar) - helpful with higher counterpressure (deep tanks, fine air diffusers, air lifters).

    Is the air volume adjustable?

Yes, the a200 is electrically adjustable.

How high is the power consumption?

    3.2 W.

    How loud is the a200?

The sound level is specified as 43 dB(A) (at 1 l/min).

What are the most common causes of “too little air”?

Dirty air filter, clogged diffuser, defective diaphragm, or regulator set to minimum - clean/replace accordingly or open the regulator.

Why should the pump not run without a connected diffuser/hose?

“Idling” leads to premature diaphragm wear and increased noise levels.
