The coarse gravel can be used as the entire substrate or selectively as a decorative area in the aquarium. It looks particularly beautiful when combined with finer sand, natural stones, or roots. Thanks to its coarse structure, the substrate remains well-drained and provides additional colonization surfaces for beneficial bacteria.
