Hobby Casuarina Cones are natural cones from the casuarina tree (Casuarina equisetifolia) designed for natural-looking aquascapes and biological water maintenance in aquariums. These small, firm cones release natural humic substances and tannins into the water over several weeks. This can result in a slight amber tint to the water, as is common in many tropical habitats. The cones are particularly well-suited for shrimp aquariums, blackwater tanks, biotope aquariums, and naturally designed aquascapes. Their textured surface provides additional colonization space for beneficial microorganisms and is readily used by shrimp, crabs, and snails as a natural grazing area. Visually, the Casuarina Cones also blend beautifully among driftwood, roots, rocks, and aquatic plants.
As a purely natural product, Hobby Casuarina Cones are untreated and may vary slightly in shape, color, and size. In addition to their use in aquariums, they are also suitable as a natural decorative element for paludariums and terrariums. When stored in a dry place, the cones have a virtually unlimited shelf life.

How to use Hobby Casuarina Cones:
Place the Hobby Casuarina Cones directly into the aquarium. After a short time, the cones will sink to the bottom and slowly begin to release their natural compounds into the water. For an aquarium with a capacity of approximately 50 liters, the manufacturer recommends 3-5 cones, depending on the desired intensity. After about 3-4 weeks, the cones should be replaced with new ones. - natural cones from the casuarina tree
