Hobby Desert Bloom

Hobby Desert Bloom is a natural decorative and water-care product for aquariums, aquaterrariums, and terrariums. The clubmoss heads of the genus Selaginella have an extraordinary, finely branched structure, lending the aquarium a very natural look. Each Desert Bloom is a genuine natural product and may therefore vary slightly in shape, size, and color. In the aquarium, Hobby Desert Bloom continuously releases natural tannins and humic substances into the water. This can result in a slight amber tint to the water, as is common in many tropical blackwater habitats. At the same time, Desert Bloom supports a natural aquarium environment and is particularly well-suited for aquariums with shrimp, crabs, catfish, and many tropical ornamental fish.

Shrimp, crabs, and catfish enjoy using the fine surfaces as grazing areas. Biofilm can form there, which the animals graze on. Desert Bloom is also very versatile for purely decorative purposes: it creates natural accents among roots, rocks, driftwood, and plants, which are particularly well-suited for biotope aquariums, blackwater aquariums, and natural-looking aquascapes.

Hobby Desert Bloom can also be used as natural decoration in terrariums. When stored in a dry place, this natural product has a virtually unlimited shelf life. Before use in the aquarium, Desert Bloom can be rinsed briefly and then added directly to the water.

Usage of Hobby Desert Bloom:
Place Hobby Desert Bloom directly into the aquarium water. After just a short time, it will begin to sink and release its natural active ingredients. For a tank volume of 50 liters, 2 to 3 pieces are sufficient, depending on the desired water color and effect. It should be replaced after about 3-4 weeks.
