Overview
The herbal water treatment Sera Phyto med Baktazid contains highly effective thyme oil from Thymus vulgaris L., Thymus zygis L. as an agent for treating bacterial skin inflammations caused by Aeromonas, Pseudomonas or Vibrio bacteria as well as fin and gill rot on ornamental fish in freshwater aquarium and in ponds. A safe diagnosis of an external bacterial infection can be obtained by a microscopic examination of skin or gill swabs. sera Phyto med Baktazid is characterized by its high efficiency, and it is well tolerated by the treated fish as well as snails and other invertebrates.
Application and dosage of sera Phyto med Baktazid:
Days 1 and 3: dose 1 ml Baktazid per each 40 liters (10.6 US gal.) of aquarium water using the included syringe. In severe cases dose 1 ml per each 40 liters (10.6 US gal.) again on day 5. Distribute on the water surface, and stir into the aquarium with a spoon or a stick. Switch off UV lamps during treatment and aerate the aquarium well. Biological filters may remain in operation. It is recommended to filter the water with active carbon after the treatment is finished.
