After a short period the ZooBest Biolen filterwool is a ideal substrate for important water cleaning bacteria. You can use this filterwool as a stand alone filter media or in combination with others. It can be placed in a external filter behind the filter rings or in a multi chamber filter. The ZooBest Filterwool Biolen can be use in freshwater, seawater and garden ponds. It is free of harmful substances and chemical neutral in the water. Made in Germany.

Angeblich soll sich diese grüne Filterwatte nicht so schnell, bzw. lt. Produktbeschreibung überhaupt nicht, zusetzen und somit den Durchfluss auch nicht verringern.Meine Erwartungshaltung war nicht die, dass sich diese Filterwatte überhaupt nicht zusetzt, da dies absoluter Unsinn ist. Jede Filterwatte setzt sich früher oder später zu. Dennoch bin ich sehr enttäuscht, da ich im Vergleich mit absolut billiger weißer Filterwatte absolut keinen Unterschied feststellen kann. Nach 2 - 3 Tagen verringert sich der Durchfluß definitiv und die Watte muss ausgetauscht werden.
Des Weiteren ist die grüne Filterwatte im Vergleich zur weißen sehr schmal.
Fazit: Die einfachste und billigste weiße Filterwatte reicht absolut aus.

Gute stabile Filterwatte. Kann ausgewaschen und mehrmals verwendet werden, da sie Form und Struktur lange beibehält. Idealer Kompromiss zwischen Durchfluss und Filterwirkung; kann auch anstelle einer feinen Filterwatte eingesetzt werden.
