The Aqua Nova NSF-D200L is a high-quality air-driven sponge filter featuring a weighted base that ensures it stays in place no floating or tipping. It is ideal for aquariums up to approximately 200 liters (52 gallons), especially breeding tanks, shrimp setups, and fry grow-out aquariums. The large filter sponge provides excellent mechanical and biological filtration. Its porous structure offers ample surface area for beneficial bacteria to colonize, effectively removing debris and toxins from the water, without any chemical additives. This filter operates in combination with a standard air pump (not included). Rising air bubbles create a gentle suction effect, drawing water through the sponge for quiet, low-stress filtration, perfect for sensitive species such as shrimp or juvenile fish.
