Sera pH Test for approx. 80 measurements in fresh or marine water. A stable pH value is crucial for the health of fish, invertebrates, plants, and filter bacteria. Deviations from the optimal range increase the stress level of the animals, can lead to behavioral changes and health problems, and may affect plant growth and photosynthesis. Tap water usually has a pH between 7.5 and 8.5. Most fish kept in freshwater aquariums originate from neutral or slightly acidic water (pH between 6 and 7). Lake Malawi and Lake Tanganyika cichlids prefer slightly alkaline pH values (7.5 - 8.5). The optimal pH for saltwater aquariums is in the range from 8.2 - 8.4.

A very good, accurate enough and easy to use.The colours are easily separated from one to another.
The test range is quite wide, and very accurate results (such as the difference between 6,8 or 6,9) may be hard to determine. Generally results are reliable.
