TECO Aquarienkühler DI 2000

The TECO DI 2000 is the largest model in the TECO Drop-In series and is designed for professional use in large aquariums, aquaponics, and hydroponics systems. Cooling is provided by a titanium heat exchanger that is placed directly in the water. This eliminates the need for permanent integration into the water circuit, hoses or pipe connections on the cooler itself are not required.

The drop-in design allows for particularly flexible installation. The cooling coil is fully submerged in a sump chamber, a filter tank, or another area with sufficient water flow. The cooler is then connected to the power supply and controlled via the integrated thermostat. This design is particularly suitable for large existing systems where retrofitting cooling is desired without modifying the piping.

According to the manufacturer, the TECO DI 2000 is suitable for aquariums up to 2000 liters. This specification is based on an ambient temperature of 30 °C, a water temperature of 25 °C, and a heat load of 0.2 W/L. Under different conditions, such as higher heat input or lower target temperatures, the realistically achievable aquarium size is reduced accordingly.
