Hobby Orchid Tree Leaves are gently dried leaves from the tropical Bauhinia tree, designed for creating natural-looking aquascapes and maintaining water quality in aquariums. The leaves stand out due to their round, natural shape and delicate vein pattern. This makes them particularly decorative and allows them to blend harmoniously into aquascapes, biotope aquariums, shrimp tanks, and blackwater aquariums. In the aquarium, Orchid Tree Leaves release natural humic substances and tannins into the water over several weeks. This helps maintain a mild, slightly acidic aquarium environment, as found in many tropical habitats. At the same time, it creates a natural, slightly amber-colored water appearance that pairs particularly well with roots, driftwood, rocks, and densely planted aquariums.
The leaves are quickly colonized by beneficial microorganisms. Shrimp, snails, and other invertebrates use the resulting biofilms as natural grazing areas. The leaves also provide hiding spots and sheltered areas for young fish. Since this is an untreated natural product, shape, color, and size may vary slightly. When stored in a dry place, the leaves have an indefinite shelf life.

Usage of Hobby Orchid Tree Leaves:
Add Hobby Orchid Tree Leaves directly to the aquarium. After a short time, the leaves will sink to the bottom and then slowly release their natural compounds into the water. For an aquarium with a capacity of approximately 50 liters, the manufacturer recommends 3-5 leaves, depending on the desired effect. After about 3-4 weeks, the leaves can be replaced with new ones. - dried leaves from the tropical Bauhinia tree
