The leaves stand out due to their round, natural shape and delicate vein pattern. This makes them particularly decorative and allows them to blend harmoniously into aquascapes, biotope aquariums, shrimp tanks, and blackwater aquariums. In the aquarium, Orchid Tree Leaves release natural humic substances and tannins into the water over several weeks. This helps maintain a mild, slightly acidic aquarium environment, as found in many tropical habitats. At the same time, it creates a natural, slightly amber-colored water appearance that pairs particularly well with roots, driftwood, rocks, and densely planted aquariums.
The leaves are quickly colonized by beneficial microorganisms. Shrimp, snails, and other invertebrates use the resulting biofilms as natural grazing areas. Usage of Hobby Orchid Tree Leaves:
