The AQUAEL Multikani 1000 External Filter is a powerful, highly expandable external filter for freshwater and saltwater aquariums. Its main advantage is its modular design: the standard filter chamber can be expanded with up to three additional filter chambers as needed. This allows the filter to grow with the aquarium's requirements and provides extensive customization options for both filter volume and filter media selection.

In its standard configuration, the AQUAEL Multikani 1000 External Filter is suitable for aquariums from 25 to 400 liters. The pump delivers a maximum flow rate of 1000 liters per hour while operating efficiently with a power consumption of just 9.1 watts. The maximum head height is 120 cm. The standard filter chamber provides a filter volume of 1.3 liters. It can be filled with mechanical, biological, or chemical filter media. A filter sponge and biological filter media are included, allowing the filter to be put into operation right away.

A particularly useful feature is its modular expandability. Up to three additional Multikani 1000 filter modules can be connected to the base chamber, providing a total of up to four filter chambers. Each additional chamber adds 1.3 liters of filter volume and can be filled independently with the desired filter media. For example, biological filtration can be increased with BioCeraMAX, chemical filtration supplemented with CarboMAX or ZeoMAX Plus, or mechanical filtration enhanced with additional sponges and filter floss. This allows the AQUAEL Multikani 1000 External Filter to be tailored to heavily stocked aquariums, planted aquariums, biotope aquariums, or specific water quality requirements.

For convenient maintenance, the filter features an Aqua Stop system. This allows the pump unit and filter chambers to be disconnected from the tubing without unnecessary water spillage. Filter media can therefore be replaced or cleaned quickly. Vibration-dampening feet further support smooth, quiet operation.
